Genealogy workshop heads to Lufkin library

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

The Angelina County Genealogical Society and the library staff of Kurth Memorial Library in Lufkin are sponsoring the 3rd Annual Genealogy Workshops to be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, June 4. The purpose of the event is to help with individual genealogy research problems.

Computer time may be limited and only paper, pencils and ancestry charts are welcomed in the library. Lockers are provided in the research room for personal items.

If you cannot attend the genealogy workshop in June, another workshop has been scheduled from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., Monday, August 15, 2011. An indoor end-of-summer picnic meal is planned for this workshop.

Kurth Memorial Library is located at 706 South Raquet St in Lufkin.
