Professional women throughout the region are invited to participate in the East Texas Women's Conference in Lufkin on June 10.
The event will focus on the busy woman's schedule and features five dynamic speakers from around the state who will share their stories and inspire others to take charge and balance their varying roles in life.
Leadership roles and multi-tasking are just a couple of the areas that many women find themselves trying to balance on a daily basis. The conference, presented by Memorial Health System of East Texas, will bring together hundreds of professional women for a day of re-energizing and networking guaranteed to inspire in life, job, family and community.
Featured speakers include Candace O'Keefe Mathis, Sarah Fontenot, Judge Judith Guthrie, Pamela Benson Owens and Audrey Selden.
The conference will also include breakout sessions on such topics as "Balance: Is It Possible? Does it matter?", "The Power of Purpose", and "Working with (and around) Difficult People."
The Chamber will present the ATHENA Leadership Award to a nominee honored for professional excellence, community service and for actively assisting women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills.
Nominations are currently being accepted by The Chamber.
A reception for conference attendees will be held at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, June 9 at Wisteria Hideaway. Registration opens at 7:15 a.m., Friday, June 10 at the Pitser Garrison Civic Center in Lufkin.
Opening session starts at 8:30 a.m., and the event ends at 3:30 p.m. Vendors will be set up throughout the day. Early Bird Registration is $99 by June 3 and $129 thereafter.
