Free Gameroom Opens In Lufkin

If you're a teenager, there's now a place you can hang out and play just about every game you can imagine, all free of charge.

First Assembly of God in Lufkin has opened a new state-of-the-art game room to the public. There you'll find several X-Boxes, Playstations, pool tables, and lots more. There's also a diner to help you keep up your strength while you're battling those space aliens. Even though the game room promises hours of entertainment, youth leaders say the purpose of the facility involves more than just fun.

"This is a safe place for students to come. We wanted to use it, this is a great asset to reach students all across East Texas. This is a place that we thought could be safe. The parents can know they're safe when they come up here." said Mark Allen, youth leader at First Assembly of God.

The game room is open to anyone age 13 and over every Friday night.
