ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - The Angelina County Sheriff's Office arrested a man and woman Thursday in connection to a May 17 traffic stop where authorities say they caught the man taking cellphone photographs of the woman with her pants down.
The traffic stop led to deputies finding all the components of a mobile meth lab, Sheriff Kent Henson said.
Henson said he and another deputy were on the scene of a meth lab bust on FM 1669 when they received a call about a burglary. Henson said he and the deputy were on the way to that scene when they saw James Parrott, 45, of Huntington, driving a Chevy pickup.
"I told the deputy, 'Hey, he has a warrant,' so we got behind him and he started swerving around the road," Henson said.
Henson said when they approached the vehicle, they saw that April Nicole Peeples, 31, of Channelview had her pants down and they reached the conclusion that Parrott had taken photos of her with her pants down.
"I don't know if that was why he was swerving, but I did see him leaning over into the passenger seat really weird," Henson said.
Parrott was taken to the Angelina County Jail on the Lufkin Police Department warrants. The sheriff's office also found both to be in possession of marijuana and filed those misdemeanor charges.
Henson said deputies also found all the components of a mobile meth lab in the pickup and later obtained a warrant for the felony charges of possession of transport chemicals with intent to manufacture a controlled substance.
Because they had bonded out of jail on the misdemeanor charges, Henson said deputies served the warrants on the felony charges on Thursday, at Parrott's residence in the Zavalla area.
