CHICAGO (AP) - LeBron James and Dwyane Wade sparked a comeback that led to an 83-80 win over Chicago to clinch the NBA Eastern Conference finals.
James and Wade each scored eight points in a closing 18-3 run that earned them a shot at Dallas in the NBA Finals. James scored 12 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter.
Wade finished with 21 and Chris Bosh added 20 to give Miami the series 4-1.
Chicago's Derrick Rose missed a key free throw in the closing seconds that would have tied the game at 81. His desperation 3-pointer as time wound down was blocked, securing the win for Miami. Rose had another dismal shooting performance, going 9 of 29 from the field and finishing with 25 points.
Miami will host Dallas for Game 1 of the NBA Finals Tuesday.
You can watch the showdown on KTRE-TV beginning at 8. The heat will host the first two games before the series shifts to Dallas for the next three if necessary.
