Nacogdoches Public Library to offer summer programs

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Now that summer vacation is here, parents are wondering what will keep their children busy during the long, hot summer.

Some are already turning to their local library.

In Nacogdoches, there are  quite a few children checking out summer reading.

There's a long list of summer activities planned for children of all ages, including teenagers.

There's also a special lecture series for adults.

Librarians are ready to help you check out the varied and plentiful programs.

"Well, we're going to kick off the summer reading program on June 7 at 10:00 and we're going to have Kane Magic Reading. And this is a magician from Dallas whose going to come and do a magic show," said Mercedes Franks, Librarian.

All the programs can be checked out by just searching Nacogdoches Public Library.

All the events are free, but pre-registration is required for the teenage programs.
