Lufkin Cardiologist, Dr. Vivek Mangla, has been elected as a Fellow of the Prestigious Heart Rhythm Society (FHRS), a professional organization that represents close to 5,100 cardiac pacing and electrophysiology professionals worldwide. Dr. Mangla, who holds dual board certifications in cardiology and electrophysiology, is the first East Texas physician to be named as a Fellow to this distinguished organization.
To be conferred as a FHRS, Dr Vivek Mangla had to prove advanced training, certification and commitment to the field of electrophysiology. Achieving a Fellowship helps to clarify the referral process and serve as a credential for quality care among health care providers and patients, while enhancing a physician's skills in the treatment of heart rhythm disorders.
The Heart Rhythm Society is the largest advocate for heart rhythm disorders research and provides training for cardiac arrhythmia experts around the world. The organization is the international leader in science, education and advocacy for cardiac arrhythmia professionals and patients, and the primary information resource on heart rhythm disorders. Dr. Mangla has been practicing cardiology since 1998. He moved his practice from Oregon to Lufkin in 2006. His office is located at 1105 West Frank St, Suite 110, inside Memorial's Medical Arts Pavilion. Dr. Mangla is currently accepting new patients.
