Two brothers wanted for separate crimes

Police are looking for two brothers, both wanted for separate crimes, who have been avoiding capture for years.

In 2008,  an armed robbery happened at El Dos Del Oros Restaurant at Cave Creek and Bell Road in Phoenix.

Police said Ricardo Beltrain-Chavez, 26, pulled a gun on the owner, demanded cash, and then shot the owner who was eventually able to escape to the kitchen.

The owner later identified Ricardo Betrain-Chavez as the man who shot him, police said. After the shooting the owner inside the restaurant, he fired several more shots in the parking lot as he took off, police said.

Investigators later learned that Ricardo Betrain-Chavez was a convicted felon and known gang member. Police believe he fled to Mexico but has returned to the U.S.

His younger brother, Juventino Beltran-Chavez is also on the run from police. He is wanted on sexual assault charges during 2005.

Investigators said the 24-year-old used a knife to rape a 15-year-old girl near 16th Street and Greenway.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either brother is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO.
