EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - An Evansville woman allegedly tries to outrun police on a motorized bike.

The officer who made the report said that he was following behind a motorized bike driven by Aurelia Quarels.

That bike didn't have proper registration, the officer said, so he pulled her over.

According the report, when the officer got out of the car to talk to Quarels, she drove away.

The officer chased her across parts of the south east side before briefly losing sight of her.

Residents told police they saw her near Bayard Park, so officers set up a perimeter to look for her.

Officers say they found Quarels hiding in a bush on Bayard Park.

Her bike was found crashed on Highway 41.

Inside the motorized bike, police say they found 1.2 ounces of pot that was bagged to sell.

Quarels was taken to jail where she was charged with resisting arrest, reckless driving and dealing marijuana.
