EAST TEXAS (KTRE) - For those of you who love tending a backyard garden, but often grow more than you could possibly eat-- there's a solution.
Rather than having your fresh veggies and fruit spoil, donate it!
You can even get a tax credit!
Places like the Angelina County Seniors Center say they love it when homegrown produce is dropped off and they're happy to send you a letter for tax purposes.
Most non-profits can do this -- just ask before you donate.
