Central Heights takes state semi in walk-off win

ROUND ROCK, TX (KTRE) - The Central Heights baseball team took a 4-3 win over Palmer in a state semifinal matchup Thursday night in a thrilling walk-off win.

Lance Phillips drove in Trent Fuller with two outs in the seventh inning to give the Blue Devils the win.

Central Heights will play Cameron Yoe at noon on Thursday for the 2A state championship. Cameron Yoe beat Bushland, 6-0, prior to the Blue Devils' game.

The Blue Devils overcame a 3-0 deficit, scoring three runs in the sixth inning to tie the game.

Fuller led off the bottom of the seventh with a bunt single. Zane Phillips' sacrifice bunt advanced Fuller to second base. After an intentional walk to Joseph Clifton, Hayden Summers flew out, advancing Fuller to third and setting up the game-winner from Lance Phillips.
