Sports Minute: Here is the latest Texas sports news from The Associated Press

HOUSTON (AP) - Clint Capela had a career-high 28 points and James Harden scored 12 straight points for Houston in the fourth quarter as the Rockets rallied for a 130-123 victory to extend their winning streak to 10 games. The game was tied with about three minutes remaining after Harden made two free throws. Those were the first of seven straight points by Harden that put Houston's up 124-119 with 1:30 left.

FRISCO, Texas (AP) - The Cowboys are a win away from breaking even in six games without suspended star running back Ezekiel Elliott. While Dallas has improved in two straight wins following three consecutive losses without last year's NFL rushing leader as a rookie, the playoff outlook hasn't changed much. The Cowboys will need help even if they finish on a five-game winning streak. The last game without Elliott, suspended six games over alleged domestic violence, is at Oakland on Sunday night.

HOUSTON (AP) - Houston Texans coach Bill O'Brien says he wouldn't have let Tom Savage re-enter Sunday's game after a hit that gave him a concussion and left his hands shaking if he had seen the video of the hit. Savage was injured with about nine minutes remaining in the second quarter of Houston's 26-16 loss to San Francisco when he was driven to the ground on a hit by Elvis Dumervil. Replays showed Savage looking dazed after his head hit the ground with both of his arms shaking and lifted upward.

(AP) - The NFL and the players' association are jointly investigating Houston quarterback Tom Savage's return to action despite sustaining a concussion. The NFL says it's also looking for ways to improve concussion protocol. Savage returned for one series in a 26-16 loss to the 49ers after he sustained a brutal hit that left his hands quivering.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - A person with direct knowledge of the deal says the Texas Rangers and right-hander Chris Martin have agreed on a $4 million, two-year contract after the reliever spent the past two seasons in Japan. The Rangers will be Martin's third major league team after previous stints with Colorado and the New York Yankees. It's the second time in recent years the Rangers have tried to bolster their bullpen with someone who pitched in Japan, and this time it's a homegrown talent.

DALLAS (AP) - In just 24 hours, her face and name have begun world famous for what's seen as a supreme act of sportsmanship. Dallas-area high school student Ariana Luterman was finishing the anchor leg of a girls' relay in Sunday's Dallas Marathon when she saw the legs of the women's marathon leader, Dr. Chandler Self, start to buckle from exhaustion yards from the finish line.

(AP) - Houston Texans quarterback Tom Savage is defending his coach after a concussion goof-up led to his returning to the game following a disturbing hit left his hands quivering. Texans coach Bill O'Brien says he didn't see Savage shaking or never would have allowed him to go back in. The NFL and the players union are jointly investigating.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Payton Pritchard scored 16 points, Troy Brown had 10 points, 12 rebounds and four assists and Oregon beat winless Texas Southern 74-68. Oregon forward Kenny Wooten blocked Trayvon Reed's layup with 1:56 remaining but Texas Southern kept possession and Donte Clark made a basket to pull the Tigers within 69-66.
