LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police have arrested a man accused of breaking the window of his ex-girlfriend's vehicle in a McDonald's parking lot.
Fernando Barron, 17, of Lufkin, is charged with criminal mischief. Because he is a accused of causing more than $1,500 worth of damage, the charge is enhanced to a state jail felony.
According to the arrest report, an employee of the restaurant, located at 1118 South Timberland Drive, witnessed Barron using bricks to break a window of a vehicle parked in the restaurant's parking lot at approximately noon on June 1.
A judge issued a warrant for Barron's arrest and police took him into custody after he appeared at the office of Angelina County Precinct One Justice of the Peace seeking to surrender.
