NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - The Nacogdoches Police Department has canceled its Silver Alert for an 82 year old missing man who suffers from dementia.

Police say Hans Jurgen Brunotte, 82, is described as being 5'7", 150 lbs, white hair and blue eyes has been located unharmed by the Smith County, Texas Sheriff's Department.

"On behalf of the NPD, I would like to express our gratitude to the Smith County Sheriffs Department, our network of media partners, and the public in making this silver alert a success," stated Sergeant Greg Sowell, NPD.

When the alert was first issued, Brunotte had been last seen wearing a red and blue plaid button up shirt, black jeans and brown shoes.  He has a slumped posture and shuffles when he walks.

He was last seen driving a 2007 silver Ford Focus with Texas license plates 274 SLP.
