LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) – Robert Lynch, reported homeless at the time of his arrest, will spend the next 120 days in jail for stealing from a non-profit.
Lynch admitted to police that he had stole from an Alcoholics Anonymous facility in Lufkin by breaking into the building and taking money.
Apparently feeling guilty and remorseful, Lynch first admitted the theft to an employee of the facility, before turning himself in to police earlier this month. He was originally charged with burglary of a building, but pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of criminal trespass.
Lynch was sentenced to 120 days to be served at the Angelina County Jail.
