UPDATE: Diboll police nab more suspects in ongoing drug crackdown

DIBOLL, TX (KTRE) – The roundup of suspected drug dealers in an ongoing 2010 drug investigation by Diboll Police continues.

Police served an arrest warrant for Armando Delacruz, 22, for Delivery of a Controlled Substance in a drug free zone.  Zachary Ipoc, 17, was arrested for Delivery of Marijuana in a drug free zone (state jail felony).  Chasidy Rangel, 34, was arrested for Delivery of Marijuana in a drug free zone (state jail felony).  And, Abel Munoz, 20, was arrested on three counts of Delivery of Marijuana (state jail felony).

Earlier on Wednesday, Diboll police snagged two more suspects from the ongoing 2010 drug investigation involving 16 defendants on multiple counts of delivery of a controlled substance and drug use charges.

One warrant was for Cedric Edwards.  Edwards is charged with seven counts of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of Delivery of Marijuana in a drug free zone.  He was arrested about 9:45 Wednesday morning in the 300 block of Avalon Street in Diboll.  Bonds totaling $55,000 were set by Judge Esther Crager Barger, Justice of the Peace, Precinct 5.

Another warrant was for Jose Luna.  Luna is charged with three counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance in a drug free zone.  He was arrested Wednesday morning about 8:30 near the intersection of Maynard and Nelson Streets in Diboll.  He had bonds totaling $24,000, set by Judge Barger.

These latest arrests are part of an ongoing drug investigation dating back to last year, involving 16 suspects and 30 warrants.  Detective Norman Williams said they have eight more suspects to roundup in connection with this investigation.
