NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A traffic stop for a seat belt violation turned out be much more when a Nacogdoches County constable's deputy claimed to discover more than 800 prescription pills in the vehicle.
Deputy Rusty Allen pulled over a Toyota Camry in reference to the violation Wednesday night on U.S. 59 South, according to Constable Jason Bridges.
Allen reported finding Charles Ray Perkins Jr., 31, of Houston, Gretchen Lynn Pierce, 33, of Houston and Kayln Beth Sells, 31, Stonewall, La., to be acting nervously when they were pulled over.
The three passengers consented to a vehicle search. The deputy said he found 800 hydrocodone pills, along with Somas and Xanax, according to the report.
Pierce also had some pills in her possession, reported Bridges.
Pierce is charged with a 1st degree felony of a controlled substance, and the other two are charged with a 2nd degree felony of the same charge.
