LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Just before 11 A.M. Sunday morning, a two-car collision re-routed traffic from the loop. One driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
According to Lufkin police, Donald Adams, 53, was driving on North John Redditt in a Dodge pick-up truck. As he was approaching the intersection with Copeland, the light changed to red. He allegedly did not notice it in time to stop.
Edward Saenz, 21, was sitting at the light at Copeland waiting to turn left onto the loop. He was driving a Chevy Colorado pick-up. According to LPD, he began to turn when the light turned green.
According to police, Adams t-boned Saenz causing heavy damage to both vehicles. Saenz was transported to the hospital with a minor abrasion.
Adams was cited for disregarding a traffic device (red light).
