LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A state trooper arrested a Diboll woman Tuesday night on a driving while intoxicated charge following three wrecks in Angelina County.
Lufkin Police may also charge Heather Ann Zeller, 27, with additional charges of failure to stop and give information.
According to a Lufkin Police report, Zeller hit another vehicle shortly before 8 p.m. in a parking lot on the 3200 block of South First Street. She got out, looked at both vehicles, then got back in her vehicle and left the scene, according to the report.
She then hit another vehicle just up the road and kept driving, according to the report.
Authorities were able to catch up to her on Benton Drive, after she ran off the road and hit a fence, DPS Sgt. Greg Sanches said.
Sanches said a trooper placed her under arrest for DWI, the second time she has been charged with that crime. He said it is unclear what she had in her system, but the trooper does not suspect it to have been alcohol.
Zeller is being held in the Angelina County Jail on a driving while intoxicated charge.
