One dead, two injured in Polk County wreck; driver arrested for intoxicated manslaughter

POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - DPS is investigating a Polk County wreck after one man died, two were injured and the driver was taken to jail.

According to the report, Barrett Neal of Corrigan was driving a 1999 Ford pick-up towing an ATV on a 16-foot trailer.  Three of his friends were riding on the ATV on top of the trailer.

The pick-up was headed westbound on U.S. 287 near F.M. 62, just east of Corrigan.  Around 7:50 P.M. the vehicle left the roadway and overturned.  The ATV came off the trailer and overturned on the roadway.

Ryan Tinsley, 36 of Irving, died at the Tyler County Hospital in Woodville at 9:09 P.M. His body has been taken to the Jefferson County Medical Examiner's Office.  He was not wearing a seatbelt since he was sitting on the ATV.

Garret Toler, 22 of Lufkin, is in stable condition with a deep laceration on his right knee at Tyler East Texas Medical Center.  William Loftin, 22 of Chester, is in stable condition at Livingston Memorial Hospital.  He suffered multiple abrasions.

The driver, Barrett Neal, was arrested for Intoxicated Manslaughter and two counts of Assault with a Vehicle.
