ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A state trooper arrested a Diboll man Sunday night who he said was driving drunk with his three-year-old stepdaughter in the vehicle.

Trooper Rusty Pitts said he pulled over the Cadillac of Anthony James Russaw, 30, for speeding, on State Highway 94 in Angelina County, near the Trinity County line. He said he had him step out of the car and, after talking to Russaw, determined he was intoxicated.

Pitts said Russaw failed a field sobriety test. Because he had his three-year-old stepdaughter in the car, he is charged with driving while intoxicated with a child passenger.

He is also charged on a warrant, obtained on Sept. 12, for his third DWI.

Pitts said the girl was released to members of her family, who were passengers of Russaw.
