NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A Nacogdoches man serving a sentence for a felony DWI conviction has returned to the Nacogdoches County Jail to face a charge that he molested a seven-year-old girl.
Dustin Lee Hunter, 28, was sent to serve his prison sentence in July 2010. The Nacogdoches Sheriff's Office began investigating Hunter on the indecency with a child charge in May 2010, while Hunter was in jail before the conviction.
Chief Investigator Mike Claude said the victim did not provide "enough outcry until recently," so they could not charge Hunter with the crime until after he was transferred to prison.
A Nacogdoches County grand jury indicted Hunter on the indecency charge in June.
Hunter returned to the Nacogdoches County Jail on Monday on a bench warrant.
