LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The Angelina County District Attorney's Office is charging two Lufkin women in separate cases of falsifying information in order to get food stamp benefits.
Kandra May Chavez, 23, and Sarah Dominy Hill, 32, are each charged wtih securing execution of document by deception, a state jail felony.
Both were booked on the charges from July 19 warrants on Wednesday.
According to an arrest affidavit, Hill is accused of not claiming on a form in October 2005 that her husband was receiving veteran benefits nor that she was employed at Walmart.
Chavez is accused of claiming on a document in May 2010 that she was not employed, when she was employed by Brookshire Brothers.
