EAST TEXAS (KTRE) - Hurricane hunters have investigated a tropical wave north of the Yucatan Peninsula and have now upgraded this system to Tropical Storm Don.
Don is located about 120 miles north of Cozumel, Mexico and is forecast to make landfall late Friday evening along the Texas coastline.
Tropical Storm Don will provide much needed rains for parts our drought stricken state. Just how much rain we see will ultimately depend on its track and where along the Texas coast it makes landfall.
To get the latest position, forecast track, and satellite images on Tropical Storm Don, make sure to head over to our Hurricane Center.
Keep it tuned to ktre.com and make sure to watch KTRE-TV for the latest updates on the path Don could take over the next couple of days.
