POLLOK, TX (KTRE) - A missed turn is said to be at the center of a collision between a log truck driver and the driver of a Budget Rental truck.

Both vehicles were headed west on Highway 7 at the overpass at the intersection of Highway 69  The driver of the Budget Rental truck, Thomas Jackson Warner, 62, Nacogdoches, apparently missed his turn and tried to make a u-turn.  The driver of a log truck, Rudy Alberto Caballero, 31, Tenaha, tried to pass the Budget truck and the vehicles ended up hitting each other, according to Tamela Snider, Trooper II DPS.

The log truck was flipped on its side and its load was strewn on the shoulder of the south side of Highway 7.  The Budget Rental truck was carrying household items and it also ended up off the road on the same side of the highway.

No injuries were reported.  The accident happened mid-morning Friday.  No citations were issued, pending the outcome of the DPS investigation.
