Longview man dies when rig pulls in front of him at Central Heights gas station

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A Longview man on his way to work Thursday morning died after he hit an 18-wheeler which pulled out in front of him at a Central Heights convenience store, according to a state trooper.

Larry Seymour, 68, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Trooper John Riggins, Seymour was driving a 2010 Toyota Tundra south on U.S. 259 at  6:08 a.m. when he broadsided a 2002 Freightliner, driven by Jose Peraltea, 38.

Peraltea had pulled in front of Seymour and was attempting to cross into the northbound lane. Seymour's truck went partially under the trailer.

Riggins said Seymour worked for EOG Resources and Longview and believed he was on his way to the Nacogdoches office Thursday morning.
