LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Seven of 17 of the federal meth conspiracy suspects named in two indictments are out of federal custody under bail bond conditions.
Ten of the other 17 are in either federal custody or in state prison.
Holly Linnea Vadelund, 20, of Lufkin, Laura Fisher Vadelund, 20, of Lufkin, Steven Edward Beam, 25, of Huntington, Deana Sunshine Turner, of Lufkin, and Jennifer Jon Holliday, 33, of Lufkin, have posted $50,000 bail bonds.
Mandy Nicole Slomba, 21, of Lufkin, has been released on the condition that she enters an in-patient drug treatment program.
David Arthur Dunman, 52, of Lufkin, is on house arrest.
All 17 defendants are scheduled for trial on Sept. 12.
Dunman, Turner, Holliday and Crystal Ware Keisler are named in a July 20 indictment accusing them of buying pseudophedrine from various stores in the area and using it to cook meth.
Thirteen others are named in a separate indictment alleging similar activity. Sixteen of the 17 are Angelina County residents.
