LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - According to Lufkin police, Quentin Houston, 27 of Lufkin, got into a minor vehicle accident, left the scene, and ultimately, tried to evade arrest Saturday night.
The police report states that Houston hit another car, but didn't stop. The other driver started to follow him, and called police.
When officers caught up with Houston, they tried to arrest him, but as the tried to handcuff him, he allegedly broke loose and ran. A foot chase ensued.
A second officer arrived as back-up, and both were finally able to take Houston down and arrest him.
Houston is charged with evading arrest which was enhanced to a state jail felony because of a prior conviction. He is also charged with failing to stop and render aid following an accident.
