HUDSON, TX (KTRE) - Hudson Water Supply is issuing a mandatory water curtailment for its residential and business customers.
Until further notice everyone is required to conserve water, according to the company.
HWP said, effective immediately there will be a mandatory lawn watering schedule.
Residents and businesses with even number addresses are asked to water lawns on even days, those with odd number addresses are asked to water on odd days.
The mandatory schedule applies to all residential and commercial lawn watering and other nonessential water uses with the exception of livestock and pets.
Customers are also being asked to restrict watering to the early morning and evening hours to avoid loss through evaporation.
The company said those who violate the orders could be cited, and water service may be interrupted for repeat violations.
