The Democratic Party has their first candidate in the primary for State Representative, District 9. Robin Moore of Nacogdoches officially announced her intentions to seek the Democratic nomination.
The Executive Director of the East Texas Community Health Services was defeated in the last state election by incumbent Wayne Christian. Moore and Republican candidate Roy Blake Jr. could run against one another if the two remain unopposed in the primary. Christian is seeking a congressional seat.
Moore was joined by a number of her supporters at the Nacogdoches Convention and Visitors Center. She plans similar appearances throughout the district in the coming weeks.
