Fire Shuts Down Huntington High School

Classes at Huntington High School were cancelled after a fire broke out early this morning. Fortunately, no one was at the school at the time.

Huntington Superintendent Shirley Davis says the fire began in an electrical security closet around 3:00am, November 14. Fire walls managed to contain the fire, but Davis says two different wings of the school did suffer some smoke damage. Davis says school will resume normally on Monday, November 17. Classes that are held in the affected rooms will be relocated. Teachers at Huntington High School are asked to report to the school library at 7:00 on Monday, November 17.
