NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested man Tuesday morning after his wife accused him of holding her against her will in their home for three days.
Sheriff Thomas Kerss said the wife managed to get away in the early morning hours Tuesday and contacted authorities from a friend's home.
Deputies arrested Cruz Rivera, 27, of Nacogdoches, around 11 a.m.
Kerss said Rivera threatened his wife with a gun if she tried to leave.
As of 6:30 p.m., Rivera had not been booked in the Nacogdoches County Jail, but Kerss said he would be charged with aggravated assault and false imprisonment. Immigration officials have also put a hold on him.
