LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

A former Lufkin nursing home worker received probation Monday morning for injuring a patient in November.

Telesforo Vasquez III, 25, of Lufkin, agreed in District Judge Barry Bryan's court to serve ten years probation on a charge of injury to elderly. The state dismissed a charge of attempted sexual assault.

According to Lufkin Police, Vasquez exposed his genitals to a 91-year-old female resident of the Lufkin nursing home facility and directed her to touch his genitals. When the resident refused, Vasquez forced her down, causing injury to her hip and buttock area.
