HUDSON, TX (KTRE) - Three suspects were arrested by investigators Tuesday night after a chase through Trinity and Angelina Counties. Sometime after 6 p.m., a DPS trooper tried stopping a Virginia truck for speeding through Apple Springs on Highway 94.
A DPS spokesman said the driver, Jessica Finney, of Virginia Beach, Va., 24, sped away instead of stopping.
A trooper then shot out the back left tire of the truck. Finney reportedly kept driving until reaching Hudson, about a half-mile east of the intersection of Highway 94 and FM 706.
Troopers found a "large" sum of money in the truck.
Finney was booked into the Angelina County Jail late Tuesday on a charge of evading arrest. A charge of engaging in organized criminal activity was added Wednesday.
Micaya Lindsay Detoro, 18, and Sean Joseph Radus, 25, both also of Virginia Beach, Va., have been charged with engaging in organized criminal activity.
Another man will be charged with the same offense, Sgt. Greg Sanches said.
Bail is set at $525,000 for Finney and $500,000 for Detoro and Radus.
Sanches said all three are wanted in Virginia on felony warrants. An investigation reveals that one of them had worked at a KFC there and stole money from the business, he said. The three had also stolen mail out of mailboxes and taken credit card information, Sanches said.
Due's Wrecker Service of Lufkin towed the green Toyota Tacoma away from the scene.
