East Texans Show Generosity In Helping "Forgotten Veteran"

In a follow-up now to a story we first brought you on Veteran's Day about a Korean War vet who has been having a tough time, after hearing about his plight on the East Texas News, several East Texans have generously stepped up to help.

Since that story aired, Billy Ray Hudman has received a new refrigerator, television, dishes, cookware, and some new clothes. And thanks to money raised by the kids at Harmony Hill Baptist Church, Hudman was given a two hundred and forty dollar Wal-Mart gift certificate to help buy some needed household supplies. A local contractor is also scheduled to paint Hudman's apartment this week as well.

Billy Ray Hudman says he is very grateful for everything his East Texas neighbors have done.
