TRINITY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Law enforcement believes Trinity County will be a safer place, now that a cocaine dealer has been sent to prison - for a long time.

James Stubblefield, 42 of Trinity, was targeted by DPS Narcotics Investigators with help from the Trinity County Precinct 1 Constable Office. Undercover work on the case started back in April of 2008.

On Wednesday, Stubblefield was convicted by a jury for Felony Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

That same jury sentenced him to 50 years in prison, plus a $10,000 fine.
