LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - All Oncor customers in Angelina and Nacogdoches counties have had their power restored following Wednesday afternoon's wind storm.
According to Oncor spokesman David Collier, crews finished the final work order at 1 a.m. Friday.
About 9,000 families lost power Wednesday after winds reached speeds of up to 60 miles per hour.
The winds came just hours after the Electric Reliability Council of Texas issued a conservation warning to Texans.
"Enough people lost power that it kept the grid from shutting down," Collier said.
