Police: Motorist pulls spray can in Lufkin parking lot dispute

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police report an unidentified older male apparently was none too happy when a car backed out of a parking space in front of him in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

The driver of the vehicle told police when he backed out, the older male slammed on his brakes and started honking at him to move.  The man said he got out of his car, the older male rolled down his car window and they got into an argument.  Much to the complainant's surprised, the older male was armed with something like ‘bug spray or WD-40,' and he "sprayed it in the complainant's face," according to police.

The older man left the scene before police could arrive.  The sprayed driver said he did not know the older man, so, locating him might be a challenge.  At this point, the case is considered to be an "assault causing bodily harm' and has been turned over to detectives for follow-up.
