Zavalla native Dustin Ellermann did well enough for his team to avoid elimination and survived Episode Four of Top Shot, a nationally televised marksmanship competition.
Ellermann's blue team selected him to compete in the final leg of the competition with a Remington 1875, the spot with the most points on the line.
Because Ellermann's team had built a big enough lead before his turn, he only needed to hit four of six of his targets for his team to win. He hit five. But his opponent, Cliff Walsh, a revolver specialist, hit his six targets first.
