EXCLUSIVE PICS: ETX authorities discover burned body in truck

UPSHUR COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Early Tuesday afternoon, the Upshur County Fire Marshal and the Ore City Fire Department were called to a 11,400 block of Hwy 155 N, north of Gilmer.

Upon arrival at the scene, authorities discovered a burned body inside of a pickup truck.

The Upshur County Sheriff's Office, Longview Police Crime Scene Unit, and the Texas Rangers were called to the scene.

Investigators determined the person in the truck did not die from the fire, but rather from a gunshot would to the head.

Sharon Maxwell, 43, was arraigned Wednesday morning on murder charges.

Her bond is set at $750,000.

At this time, the identity of the victim has not yet been released.

The body has been sent to Dallas for an autopsy.
