CROCKETT, TX (KTRE) - A Houston County grand jury has indicted a Florida man accused of driving drunk when he wrecked and killed a woman passenger in April.
Rodney Lee Miller, of Cocoa, Fla., is charged with intoxication manslaughter.
Miller was arrested on the charge the day of the wreck.
According to DPS reports, Renee Miller, 53, was a passenger in a 2004 Hyundai SUV, driven by Rodney Miller. Rodney Miller was traveling westbound on State Highway 21 at 11 p.m. Monday when he struck the tree, 6.2 miles east of Crockett.
The tree was in the middle of the road after it had fallen down during severe weather that night.
The grand jury in August also indicted Aaron Wade Pennington, 30, a former Grapeland city councilman, on two child sex charges.
This followed a July grand jury where he was indicted on five counts.
In April, Grapeland police arrested Pennington for possession of child porn.
The state attorney general's office cyber crimes unit joined the investigation.
While out on bail, just two weeks later, Pennington was re-arrested for additional child porn charges and for the sexual assault of a teenage boy.
The list of indictments now include three counts of possession of child porn, two counts of promotion of child porn and two counts of sexual assault of a child.
