LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Attorneys have selected a jury for the trial of a Lufkin woman accused of lying under oath in a 2010 arson trial.

The aggravated perjury trial for Twonda Nicole Samuel, 25, will begin on Monday.

Samuel was indicted in March for aggravated perjury relating to the 2010 arson fire that occurred at the home of Timothy Thompson.

Prosecutors said Samuel had given police a witness statement saying "they saw Thompson light a pile of clothes on fire in the hallway of his home." The house was destroyed.

Prosecutors said at Thompson's arson trial in February of this year, Samuel denied giving police such a statement.
