LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The Texas Medical Board approved disciplining two Lufkin doctors at its August meeting.
The board and Dr. Alexander Orlov entered into an agreement which requires Orlov to immediately stop practicing medicine. The action was based on Orlov's federal conviction of a felony. Orlov pleaded guilty of health-care fraud.
The board also entered into and order requiring Dr. Rima Z Kittley to complete eight hours of CME, including four hours in treatment and evaluation of celiac disease and four hours in evaluation and treatment of thyroid disorders. The action is based on Kittley's failure to meet the standard of care for one patient.
