LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Lufkin Police have arrested a Diboll man accused of abducting and beating his 10-month pregnant girlfriend in August.

According to the arrest warrant affidavit, police arrived at High Point Plaza Apartments, located at 3507 N. John Redditt Drive, in reference to the kidnapping of a woman who was 10 months pregnant.

According to the report, most of the witnesses were uncooperative but told officers that Terrell Justin Rogers, 24, the woman's boyfriend, came inside the apartment and assaulted her and dragged her out to his car.

Police contacted Rogers' cellphone carrier, who "pinged" his phone and directed police to the 700 block of McHale Street. Police arrived at the residence and found Rogers' car but only the woman was in the car.

The woman was taken to the emergency room to be treated for injuries. At the ER, an investigator learned from the woman that she was with friends at the apartment when Rogers came in and accused her of being with another man. She said Rogers grabbed her by ripping her shirt and told her to get her clothes. He then began fighting with another man who he thought was with her, she said. When she tried to break them up, he hit her in the face and drug her to his car. The woman said the next thing she remembers is the officers talking to her in the car.

The woman suffered many bruises to her face, back and head, a swollen right eye and road rash on her heels and ankles.

Rogers was booked into the Angelina County Jail on Thursday on an aggravated kidnapping charge, as well as unrelated charges of criminal mischief, evading arrest, possession of marijuana and two capias warrants.

He is still in the jail, with bail set at $248,000.
