TRINITY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Firefighters have contained a second fire in Trinity County on Wednesday, this one off of FM 357, northeast of Apple Springs.
According to Jan Amen of the Texas Forest Service, TFS firefighters were dispatched to the fire at 2 p.m.
The fire is on Due 2 Road, which intersects with FM 357.
Sheriff Ralph Montemayor said the fire only spread over a couple acres and firefighters were able to contain it very quickly.
TFS firefighters were also dispatched to a two-acre blaze in Houston County.
