NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Bullritos®, the fun, fast-casual burrito joint is headed to East Texas and opening its first restaurant in Nacogdoches, home of the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks.
The restaurant officially opens on September 19, and it will be located at 1220 North Street (across the street from Kroger), two blocks away from the Stephen F. Austin campus, at one of the busiest areas in town.
As part of the grand opening, Bullritos is hosting two incredibull events that Nacogdoches residents will not want to miss.
On Sunday, September 18, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., the Sigma Nu fraternity will join Bullritos as they invite the community to come out, support a good cause and be the first to taste Bullritos.
In exchange for lunch, patrons are asked to make a $5 donation, which will go entirely to the Magnolia Wildfire Relief Efforts.
On Monday, September 19, Bullritos will be holding an Unbelievabull Giveaway, a grand opening tradition for all Bullritos franchises. Bullritos will give away a year's worth of free burritos (one per week) to the first 25 patrons, and it is not uncommon for anxious fans to camp out the night before to secure their spot.
For more information on this event, visit Facebook.com/Bullritos.
The new location will feature all of the classic, customizabull Bullritos favorites including burritos (bullritos), tacos, bowls (burritos without the tortilla) and bull-ritas (margaritas) prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients by talented burristas (burrito rollers).
While there is some Mexican cuisine competition in town, there are no other burrito options – and that, in addition to the totally fresh, never frozen ingredients, is the distinguishing feature of this new-to-Nacogdoches concept.
Bullritos' quick-casual, comfortable environment and reasonable price-point appeals to both college students and families looking for a little extra fun.
Boasting five flat-screen televisions, free wi-fi and plenty of seating options, the space is perfect for sports team parties, school events, watching the game or hanging out with friends.
Franchise owner Rob Johnson owns three other Houston-area Bullritos, and he is looking forward to becoming a part of the Nacogdoches community. "I have several friends who are SFA alumni, and I've always thought it was a beautiful town," said Johnson. "Bullritos is unlike anything the Nacogdoches people have seen, and I'm anxious to share this fresh, unique option with a brand new audience."
Brought to you by the Gringo's Mexican Kitchen group, Bullritos® is a quick-casual, family-friendly burrito joint serving bag 'n' go burritos (bullritos), bowls and tacos. The unique "run with it" concept was inspired by the Running of the Bulls in Spain, and originated in 2008.
There are currently 14 franchise locations throughout Texas, Louisiana and Georgia. Bullritos is committed to providing the highest-quality burrito possible with a no-bull approach on value and taste satisfaction.
