NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - It's easy to spot Cordell Roberson on a football field for the 'Jacks because he's normally in the endzone. In 2010 Roberson lead the nation in touchdown receptions with 16, but he admits likes to be a quiet player.
"I'm not really a verbal leader, but I show it by my actions," said Roberson. "That's just the way I am. I have to be that leader because I am the starting 'X,' I just have to show the younger players how it goes and lead by example."
One of the younger players is his new starting quarterback Brady Attaway, who says its nice to have Roberson as an option.
"He's an unbelievable player," said Attaway. "If you are ever in trouble you can look his way. I wouldn't say just throw it up to him but he knows how to get open for you."
As for his NFL goals, Roberson has a plan that includes another conference championship first.
"I think I really just need to keep attacking the weights getting bigger and stronger," said Roberson. "I'm trying to be the leading receiver of the conference and just put up good numbers and help the team."
