ZAVALLA, TX (KTRE) -

Zavalla resident Dustin Ellermann advanced on the History Channel's program "Top Shot" on Tuesday, making way for a KTRE watch party next week.

Ellermann's blue team won the team competition, meaning Ellermann would not be up for elimination in Episode 8.

KTRE will host a watch party with Ellermann for the public on October 4 at Buffalo Wild Wings in Lufkin. Ellermann will be available for autographs and pictures before the show begins at 9 p.m.

In Tuesday's episode, Ellermann showed he likes to stick to guns, failing to hit a single target in the archery trick competition.

Ellermann explained at his own watch party Tuesday that the event was more of a trick shot competition, as the arrow had to be bounced off a ramp and hit a moving target.
