At the age of 85, Glenn Elliott can look back over a long career as a Texas Ranger, a force often called "the greatest organization of its kind in the world." During his thirty eight years as a Highway Patrolman and Texas Ranger, Elliott investigated and solved some of the highest profile cases in the country. His two books "Glenn Elliott: A Ranger's Ranger", and "Glenn Elliott: Still a Ranger's Ranger", details many of those cases.

On Thursday, October 13 at 10:30 am., the city of Longview will honor Elliott by naming a baseball field in his honor. The ceremony will be held at Lear Park Baseball Complex, 100 H.G. Moseley Parkway in Longview.
