CENTER, TX (KTRE) -

The Center Police Department is seeking the public's help in solving the burglary of a dollar store on Sunday.

According to a press release, officers responded to Family Dollar Store, located at 710 Tenaha St., in reference to a burglary.

Officers reported that someone had disabled the alarm and pried open the side entrance door. Once inside, that person apparently went straight to the money safe that was bolted to the floor and pried it from the floor and loaded it onto a dolly from the back storage room.

The safe is described as a two-foot square black Bass Security safe.

Anyone with information on the burglary should contact Center Crime Stoppers at 936-598-SAFE, or submit a tip at centercrimestoppers.com.
